The daily chapel program is a core part of the spiritual formation for students at EMMS and EMHS, while students at EMES have a Gathering Time weekly which contributes to their development.
Parents and Community are invited to attend Chapel services at the Main Campus. Click below. If you plan to attend, please enter through the main entrance doors of the school and sit in the rows under the balcony as students have assigned seats.
Regular Chapel Times:
Regular activities are scheduled in the EMMS and EMHS curriculum to help students grow spiritually as well as intellectually. Daily chapel, Bible classes, Spiritual Renewal Week twice a year, Community Service Day, small group Bible studies, Neighbor Groups and discussion of Biblical values in numerous classes are just some of the ways we encourage students to become active members of the EMMS and EMHS spiritual community. In study, worship or play, students are challenged to integrate faith with life--to learn and apply Biblical standards to life's decisions.
EMES students meet once a week in the “Gathering” to sing, share faith stories, and to hear others share how they live out their faith in the world. Spiritual growth is fostered each day in the classroom as students are given opportunities to share their beliefs. Teachers model their faith as they create a respectful classroom where everyone is valued and honesty and integrity are valued. Peace-building classes emphasize the importance of being an effective member of the community by learning leadership skills and effective communication skills. Stories from the Bible are introduced in Peace-building. These stories continue to be used in the regular classrooms as students learn to follow Jesus’ teachings. Within these class discussions and activities, students are challenged to look at the world from the eyes of others and find ways they can help those around them. Families and our community are invited to attend Gathering each Wednesday from 8:45 a.m.-9:15 a.m.
